Click “Health and drug plans” or “Find health and drug plans”.
You can log in to a Medicare.gov account to pre-populate your information or search as a guest.
Enter your ZIP code and select the option for “Medicare drug plan (Part D)”.
Step 2: Update your information
Update your medication list: Add or remove prescriptions, specifying the drug name, dosage, and frequency.
Select preferred pharmacies: Add or edit your preferred pharmacies, including mail-order options.
Step 3: Compare plans
The tool will display available Part D plans for the upcoming year.
The results are sorted by the lowest estimated total cost, which includes both premiums and drug costs, to help you find the most cost-effective option.
Review the details of each plan, looking at factors like the formulary (list of covered drugs), potential out-of-pocket costs, and pharmacy network.
Step 4: Enroll
If you are happy with your current plan and it is still the lowest-cost option, you do not need to take action as it will likely auto-renew.
If you find a new plan you prefer, select the “Enroll” button next to it and follow the prompts to finalize your choice.
Changes will take effect on January 1st of the following year.
